Aspartame is an addictive carcinogenic neurotoxin still considered safe by the FDA. This neurotoxin is found in over 6000 food and drink products (almost ALL gum) and is deceptively marketed as “sugar free” and "healthy". Under the trade names Equal, NutraSweet, and Canderel, aspartame is an ingredient in approximately 6,000 consumer foods and beverages sold worldwide, including (but not limited to) diet sodas and other soft drinks, instant breakfasts, breath mints, cereals, sugar-free chewing gum, cocoa mixes, frozen desserts, gelatin. It may be labelled 951 or "contains phenylalanine".
FDA officials still describe aspartame as "one of the most thoroughly tested and studied food additives the agency has ever approved" and its safety as "clear cut". Aspartame damages the brain at any dose. Avoid it at all costs.
